Magnum Opus Recruitment’s commitment to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
GDPR
The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will replace the 1995 EU Data Protection Directive (European Directive 95/46/EC), with effect from 25th May 2018. The new regulation will strengthen and unify data protection for all individuals within the European Union and be enforced by the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Protecting data
Whilst we are confident that most of our current processes already fall in line with the GDPR expectations, any changes we have to make to the way we contact candidates or recruiters will be minimal.
Magnum Opus Recruitment is, like many other job Recruitment Firms, seeking legal advice to ensure we are fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and any other legislation required.
Data protection and security has always been important to us and we adhere to all current data protection laws. We use industry best practice security including site-wide encryption (HTTPS), browser verification and two factor authentication to protect against the unauthorised access of the data we hold.
Working with Magnum Opus Recruitment
We do not anticipate that our full compliance with GDPR will result in any changes to the services we provide candidates and clients, including the ongoing access to information required to match candidates to vacancies as part of the recruitment process.
